Cynthia Culp is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and one of the few medical providers in Idaho who is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner. She is also trained in the Bredesen protocol for reversing cognitive decline.

After practicing conventional medicine for a few years, she realized she wasn’t really helping her patients get well she was only masking their symptoms. She decided to start looking for some answers, and in 2007 she discovered Functional Medicine. Rather than a “one-size-fits all” treatment plan, functional medicine views the patient as a biochemically unique individual.

In 2013, Cynthia completed the rigorous educational training through the Institute for Functional Medicine to become a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner. With that knowledge and her years of experience she has developed expertise in treating multiple medical conditions and helped her patients get healthy without drugs and surgery. Cynthia has been successful treating her patients by utilizing the functional medicine approach; blending pharmaceuticals with nutraceuticals, utilizing science and nutrition to its best advantage to get the optimal effect and outcome. She develops a therapeutic alliance with her patients assisting them on their journey to achieve an optimal state of emotional, physical, and spiritual health.

Education: Cynthia received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Nursing from Augustana College, graduating with honors in 1990, then went on to complete her Master of Science degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Gonzaga University in 1997.
