Skin Regeneration and Hair Restoration

Cynthia believes strongly in regenerative techniques for improving skin health and loves helping her patients incorporate these cutting-edge therapies. Platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy involves drawing a small volume of blood from the patient and spinning this blood in a centrifuge. This separates the blood into different layers, each containing concentrated amount of the substances naturally found in blood. The platelets injected release hundreds of different proteins involved in the regeneration of tissues. The serum is used to treat the following conditions: skin rejuvenation, skin resurfacing, scaring from acne, surgery and trauma, and reduce fine lines and thinning skin. PRP is a blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets. PRP is made of growth factors obtained from your own blood. PRP is safe, effective, completely natural way to improve the overall health of your skin. When this serum is injected or applied topically with a microneedling device, it stimulates growth factors to get busy and tells your stem cells to increase the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic. The full procedure takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Generally, 2-3 treatments are advised, however, more may be necessary for some individuals. Though research on this treatment continues, the existing research has shown increased healing of several different types of body tissues.

Hair Restoration

When combined with traditional hair restoration treatments, PRP has been shown in studies to be an effective adjunctive therapy to enhance hair growth and improve the health of your hair. Benefits of PRP for hair loss include little to no recovery time, a virtually painless alternative to surgery. No anesthesia, sedation or incisions. Natural treatment that triggers the body’s own regenerative process.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) can be injected or micro needled into the scalp to enhance hair growth. It has been found to be effective in both men and women. Most PRP therapy requires three treatments 4-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are required every 4-6 months.

Microneedling

Microneedling or collagen induction therapy (CIT) uses a device to create micro-wounds in the dermis. These micro-injuries trigger the bodies natural healing process, producing new collagen and elastin. The result is improved skin texture & laxity and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles, stretch marks, and acne scars. These channels also allow Hyaluronic Acid or our bodies own PRP (Platelt Rich Plasma) to be driven deep into the dermis, increasing the skins utilization of nutrients by up to 3000%.

Medical Microneedling can be performed with other procedures to enhance the overall results. The following conditions can be improved:

  • Mild to moderate acne scarring
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Crows feet and lip lines
  • Skin tone and texture
  • Pore size
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Superficial pigmentation
  • Hypo-pigmentation
  • Stretch marks
  • Hair loss
